Discovered by CSS observer Carson Fuls, near-Earth asterpid 2015 TC25 is one of the smallest asteroids to be discovered and then characterized. Characterization studies investigate physical and chemical properties of asteroid, including their size, shape, spin rate, and geochemical properties and composition. Spectroscopic studies by University of Arizona planetary scientists reveal that it’s anomalously bright, indicating that it’s devoid of the typical dust and regolith (loose rock and “soil”) that typically coat many asteroids.
